Originally a home-made kimchi for pleasure, with a growing group of friends, colleagues and acquaintances who have grown to love our kimchi, it has turned into a brand and a family-run business called Mynappa with production in Liberec. We source our cabbage from a family farm in the Polabí region, which prefers environmentally acceptable methods that significantly reduce the use of agrochemicals, pesticides and artificial fertilizers, thus meeting IPZ and GlobalGAP quality and origin certifications.

What types of packaging does your company use?

We use customized cardboard boxes. We have different types of orders with different numbers of pieces in the package. We wanted to have freedom in this, but at the same time it was difficult for us to find a partner within standard cartoning that allowed us this variation.But because of the need to use space as efficiently as possible, we kept looking.

...and did you manage to find someone who meets your requirements?

We were looking for shipping cartons that were strong enough for repeated use. As far as possible, we try to return the shipping cartons to circulation after delivery to use them as efficiently as possible and not to put unnecessary strain on the environment. BOX48 boxes are easy to fold and, thanks to the homogeneous bottom, there is never any risk of breakage, even with the relatively high weight of the contents. Simply a functional product that can be relied upon.

How do you offer your products to customers? How do the various hotels and restaurants view the kimchi offer, and is it easy to find new customers?

Finding new customers for a product that is still not very widespread is always difficult. The fan community helps us a lot, as they themselves give us tips on where to offer kimchi and recommend our products to other people they know. New outlets are being added and we are also reaching out to larger stores such as Košík.cz, where Mynapppa has recently been added to the range. We don't have an eshop and we try to concentrate mainly on production.
