'In the beginning, a colleague's back hurt,' says Pavel Petr, managing director of Liftor.cz. 'Gradually, complaints from other colleagues were added, and even I myself perceived that sitting for long periods of time wasn't doing me any good. I sat at work, in the car, and even at home. When I thought about it more, I realised that I was sitting for most of the day, and as an active person, that scared me a bit.'

A sedentary lifestyle doubles the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. It contributes to thinning bones, rising blood pressure, rectal cancer, as well as psychological illnesses such as depression and anxiety. The consequences are all the more dangerous because they are long-term, difficult to observe and the symptoms are usually attributed to the specific disease diagnosed. According to the WHO, 60 to 85 % of people on the planet lead a sedentary lifestyle, and the Czech Republic is at the upper limit. This year, everything has been made worse by the coronavirus pandemic and the measures associated with it. We have moved from offices to home offices, which often means a deterioration in ergonomic conditions.

We primarily use cardboard boxes. When we need to wrap some parts in film we primarily use stretch film with a higher % of recycled content. We fix the packaging with adhesive tape for more challenging bonding. We then fix the packaging with a final binding tape. and metal clips.
When looking for a packaging supplier, the most important things for us were quality of workmanship, customized production, speed and flexibility and last but not least, price.
Bulk calculation works well for us. We can then easily compare the prices of the different sizes of boxes we need. We have all the calculations stored in our administration and can easily forward them to find the best option without having to make a large purchase for stock.
