We are ready to prepare an excursion tailored to your team. If you are interested in organizing an excursion for your school, kindergarten or other educational institution, please contact us: Tomáš Koláček +420721082050 kolacek@packung.cz.
A group of inquisitive children from PÁLAVA LIVING LEARNING had the unique opportunity to visit the background of the BOX48 packaging shop (created by Packung), where we specialize in the production of customized boxes. This excursion not only offered the children a practical insight into modern production processes, but also gave them a glimpse into the world of ecology and sustainability.
The excursion started in the plotting room where we create new packaging designs. The children had the opportunity to see how flat sheets of cardboard are turned into functional and aesthetically appealing boxes. Their interest was particularly focused on the process of making air fillers, which are not only practical but can be made from recycled materials. These fillers are key to ensuring the safety of products during transport, while also being environmentally friendly.
The next stop was PANOTEC's large indoor NEXTPRO machine, which demonstrated to the children the speed and efficiency with which boxes can be produced on a large scale. This machine, which prides itself on its ability to produce thousands of boxes a day, was a fascinating example of modern industrial automation for the children.
The highlight of the excursion was a tour of an automated warehouse with a capacity of 5,000 pallet places. This warehouse, equipped with the latest technology, represents efficiency and innovation in logistics and warehousing. The children were impressed not only by the scale, but also by the intelligent management system that allows fast and precise access to products (moving shelves thanks to rails).
The excursion ended with a visit to the gymnasium, where small snacks, an obstacle course and a large packaging colouring book awaited the children. This relaxing part of the program was an opportunity for the children not only to relax, but also to show their creativity and use the knowledge acquired during the excursion.
Initially we were concerned that the excursion would be fun and the children would not get bored, but in the end the children left with enthusiasm. The excursion gave them a basic overview of how the modern packaging industry works not only to create functional products but also to protect the environment. They were thrilled to see technological innovations first-hand and at the same time realise the importance of sustainability in everyday life.
